"See Emily Play" was the second single recorded by British psychedelic rock group Pink Floyd. It was written by original frontman Syd Barrett and recorded on May 23, 1967. The single featured "Scarecrow" as its B-side. It later appeared on the compilations Relics (1971), Works (1983), Shine On (1992), Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd (2001) and The Piper at the Gates of Dawn 40th Anniversary Edition (2007). The song is included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list.

Although the album was not a big seller, A&M co-owner Herb Alpert recommended that Nichols be hired by A&M publishing as a staff songwriter, and it was during this period that he was introduced to Paul Williams. Afterglow were formed in Oregon in the fall of 1965. They moved to San Francisco in October 1966 and recorded a number of songs at Golden State Recorders. Their only LP was recorded in late 1967 and released on MTA Records label in early 1968. The group disbanded sometime in 1968.

Afterglow was ignored at the time and the group broke up shortly afterward, but the record became a favorite of psychedelic collectors and was reissued by Sundazed Records in 1995.buy here.

'Medication' was recorded in 1966 and was the opening track of the 'Dirty Water' album and the rolling bassline, tremolo guitar and whispered vocals-line have obviously left an influence on The Jesus and Mary Chain and Spacemen 3.
